Targeted Lipidomics

Our ready-to-deploy assays for analysis include:

•Cholesterol biosynthesis sterol intermediates using a GC-MS to distinguish complicated sterol isomers.

•Cholesterol oxidation metabolites using a GC-MS to decipherer complex oxysterol isomers.

•Substrates of GBA, glucosyl-sphingosine/glucosyl-ceramide and substrates of GALC, galactosyl-sphingosine/galactosyl-ceramide, using a LC-MS which distinguish isomers with specificity and precision.

•Phospholipids, Bis(monoacylglycero)phosphate (BMP), using a LC-MS which separate BMP and phosphatidylglycerol isomers.

•Sphingolipid biosynthesis metabolites (dihydrosphingosine, dihydroceramide, sphingosine-1-P, sphingosine, ceramide, ceramide-1-P,  sphingomyelin) using a LC-MS.

Untargeted Lipidomics

We offer multiple platforms for running samples through discovery to maximize the coverage of lipidome.

Untargeted LC-MS lipidomics provides lipid identification through accurate mass measurements, MS/MS fragmentation, and the characteristic elution profiles of lipid classes and subclasses. Through this we can identify over 500 species of lipid across glycerolipids, phosphoglycerolipids, and sphingolipids.

Untargeted GC-MS lipidomics provides superior isomer separation to normal LC-MS discovery for small volatile lipids providing enhanced identification of compounds by spectral matching against the NIST library. By running a sample through both of our platforms we can achieve more comprehensive lipid discovery.
